  • 80cm

Important information about your Cross Country Rounds

RIDERS FOR THIS CLUB DAY MUST BE 11 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER

  • Course walk from 9:00am
  • Every rider will get 2 rounds
  • Enter the class height that you would normally jump
  • After your first round (i.e. the class/height you entered), on your second round you can jump the same height or, if you and your horse are feeling confident, you are welcome to try jumping a higher jump.  Similarly, if you entered a class, but feel on the day you and your horse are not feeling up to it, you can jump the lower heights.
  • The course will be numbered and there will be 3 different heights at each obstacle
  • Rider can not circle back to jump a different jump e.g. jump no. 6 then go back to jump no.5
  • It will be a timed draw, there will be roughly 10-15minutes between your 2 rounds so horses can have a quick breather and you can go again
  • It is NOT a competition, there will be people out on course if help is needed. If you have trouble at a jump try the smaller option and keep going
  • If you have a mishap and fall off you can NOT remount, you must LEAD your horse off the course, report to a committee member and be cleared by first aid
  • All XC riders MUST wear an approved EA body protector/vest
  • Entry to the Equestrian Reserve will be via entrance at 27 Canobolas Road
  • There will be alot of bunting setup to separate areas, so please be aware of the NO HORSES area as well as when crossing the XC path to get to the toilets or canteen area
  • Your cross country entry gives you automatic entry for the 'Ride With Us' class, no need to enter twice!

General Riding - Ride With Us

  • If you don't want to ride cross country but would still like to give your horse a day out to ride around and enjoy the beautiful Equestrian Reserve (as well as the company of your fellow awesome club members), then TICK THIS BOX!

  • Ride around the grounds at your leisure but please note, only after the Cross Country has finished from approximately 1pm.
